For several years, feminists in Istanbul have been organising a night march in Taksim. This year, we will again gather at the Taksim tram stop at 7:30 p.m. and march to Galatasaray, under the main banner \u201cWE DO NOT OBEY THE MALE-DOMINATED ORDER\u201d. Women coming from T\u00fcnel will also board the tram at around 7:15 p.m., singing songs and waving their flags on the tram.<\/p>\n
A draft statement has been prepared. Throughout the march, we will carry placards, purple flags with and without the female symbol, and purple lanterns. We will send you the statement and slogans for the night march, which brings together women who engage in women’s politics together in Istanbul, whether or not they call themselves feminists.<\/p>\n
